In October 2010, Option consommateurs filed a class action against certain companies regarding a conspiracy to artificially inflate the price of flexible polyurethane foam made in Canada.

WHAT STAGE HAS THE CLASS ACTION REACHED?
Up to now, the Courts have approved settlement agreements totaling over $38,000,000 collected on behalf of class members. Additional sums may also still be received.
The Claims Administrator expects to begin distributing sums to class members in the summer and fall of 2018.
WHEN MUST MEMBERS SUBMIT THEIR CLAIMS?
The class members had until February 6, 2018 to file their claim.
CAN I EXCLUDE MYSELF FROM THE CLASS ACTION?
No, the deadline to opt-out of the class action has now passed.
